Licensing FAQ
A "Config" is simply a record in the "Inactive User Configs" application. Configs define all the settings to monitor a target application or questionnaire for all types of inactive users.
How many configs you need depends on how you plan to implement the solution. Here are two scenarios:
Scenario 1: Each Application/Questionnaire Monitored is Reported to Similar People
All inactive users found in Findings are managed by Stephanie, Anish, and Mark.
Any inactive users found in Contracts are remediated by Stacy and Jeremy.
In this case, you would only need 2 configs.
Scenario 2: An Application/Questionnaire Monitored is Reported to Different Groups of People
All inactive users for Findings with a Finding Type of "Internal Audit" are handled by Stephanie, Anish, and Mark.
All inactive users for Findings with a Finding Type of "IT Compliance" are handled by Kara, Andy, and Tommy.
All inactive users for Findings with a Finding Type of "IT Security" are handled by Maz, Amy, and Deepak.
In this case, you would need 3 configs to monitor Findings.
Yes, you can mix and match between Scenario 1 and Scenario 2 below based on your needs and the different targets monitored. Simply add up how many configs you need for your organization.
